Is it difficult for you - or a friend or family member – to go to the dentist?

We do have nitrous oxide (laughing gas) on hand, if that will make your visit easier.  You simply breath through a mask on your nose and will be instantly relaxed, with no hangover or lasting effects afterwards.

For those who are a little more anxious or apprehensive, Dr. Pinar is licensed by the State of California to administer oral conscious sedation.
We’ve done a lot of work on making dental visits easy and comfortable for our patients.  There is an extremely safe technique that we call Twilight Dentistry that Dr. Pinar is able to use that puts even the most fearful patients at ease.  Not all patients need this but for those who do, it “works like a dream.”  Just imagine not being afraid to go to the dentist.  It is SO easy.  You simply take a pill that we give you, and then a companion will take you to our office.  No More Needles!

Many techniques of sedation require injections of sedative and even IVs placed in the arm.  The problem is that those of us who are needle-phobes like Dr. Pinar, we’re just as afraid of that as the dental visit.

But “Oral Conscious Sedation” means you simply take pills for the sedation.  We’ll make certain you're totally relaxed and comfortable.  And even though this procedure is incredibly safe, we’ll still monitor you very closely while you're sedated.  You'll receive just enough sedation that you'll be completely comfortable, lightly dozing on and off and you won’t remember your dental appointment.
